Good Friday

Today is always a bit of a solemn day for Christians. One of my friends on facebook posted pictures throughout the day of Jesus being crucified. Intense. Food for thought, needless to say. Overall we had a pretty good Friday

Well I promised to blog about Easter Egg dying with a toddler... but we had an impromptu photo shot that is going to take priority on the blog today. These photos are just too much for me... H is no longer a baby but a running, sliding, climbing toddler (And she finally has some hair!). What an 18 month old! One of my closest Hawaii friends (part of our "Ohana), is a very talented photographer and she was practicing with a new lens. Love them. And I love that we get to be the guinea pigs for her photography business. H is wearing a Green Gingham dress with Easter Bunnies on the collar... I still haven't quite decided on her "final" Easter Outfit for Sunday... (problems, I know.. just kidding) but I just LOVE dressing H everyday. Between me and her Grandma's, H lady has a pretty stylish wardrobe. We have a very busy Easter weekend starting off with Breakfast with the Easter Bunny tomorrow morning. We are very excited to start some Easter Traditions as a family while teaching H what the holiday is really about... and of course letting her try Peeps... an absolute necessity in my house. Will and I are debating whether or not she will fall into the Mommy or Daddy category- Love or Hate. I vote love Peeps. Obviously. Anyway, enjoy some fabulous pictures of our growing girl!

I love this one with her baby... Already such a mama.

M.I.A.

I had high hopes to do lots of blogging in March and life got a hold of us. We have been busy, busy, busy. That seems to be a common trend among any mom. Anyway, I helped with 2 showers (bridal and baby!), had countless meetings, tons of Doctor appointments, and was chasing a rambunctious 18 month old. Needless to say, these are all excuses but that is my explanation. I am going to attempt to catch up- the key word is attempt! This past week we have been busy with Easter activities. Easter is my favorite holiday; I love what it symbolizes and I love all of the tradition behind it. (and anyone who knows me, also knows that Easter has my absolute favorite candy... Peeps!).

St. Patrick's Day!!! H was sporting her St. Patty's Day Shirt. We spent that Saturday morning at 808 bounce house; it is a giant  "store" full of bounce houses and a perfect recipe for lots of laughter and a wonderful afternoon nap!

We spent Sunday in our best green! Here is the little lady with world's best Daddy.

The following weekend Will and I helped throw a joint bridal shower for some of our friends! I love helping out with showers... I love helping planning the menu (and cooking!) and picking out the decorations. Call me crazy, but I love it.

and random H photos...

Spotted.. H has been wearing her hair in a ponytail.. It may not be the biggest pony, but it is a BIG start for a bald baby! I can't wait to add some flair with bows, braids, etc!

This is what I wake up to every morning.. Tons and tons of energy at 5:45 am!

We also have a bit of an artist on our hand.. We do sidewalk chalk almost everyday! Good thing it also rains almost everyday to clear our driveway for more art.

and... Meet Princess Harpy. She is a huge fan of her new princess dress up! I seriously love "dress ups" and I am looking forward to many future princess parties with this little lady.

I will blog later about our Easter Egg dying adventures today! (Later being tomorrow, not a whole month from now!)

3-25 Welcome Home Ball

Last Thursday we had our Welcome Home Ball for Will's Battalion. Military balls are typically black tie and it is not uncommon to have them before or after deployments (or so I am told!). I love any good excuse to get dressed up and spend the night down in Waikiki with Will. Ha, we rarely go down to Honolulu at night so this was the perfect occasion. This ball, 3-25 AVN, was held at the military hotel, The Hale Koa, on the ocean in Honolulu. It is a great venue and offers affordable prices on this pricey island!

We had an amazing night dancing away. Of course I didn't capture very many pictures but here are "pictures of our picture". I know, a lame version. They had a silly photo booth which was actually really fun; I love the idea of having them at a wedding!

And don't worry, this lady was in great hands with Uncle Greg; he was so kind and watched H was us. Thanks Uncle Greg!!!

I have more updates from the week for another time!

This past week in photos!

Well this is a random posting but it does showcase some of our week! I was helping with a baby shower "sprinkle" this weekend. It was super fun! Anyway, Harps and I had to take a trip to Party City and look what we found! The funniest plastic Elmo hat. It was an immediate must have for a 17th month old I know..

Afterwards we headed to music. This month the theme is trucks and tools; needless to say, Harps was so thrilled since we don't have many in our house. Can you believe she has been in this class over a year?! Where is time going?!

and... I am obsessed with Thai food right now! This restaurant is seriously the best.. the owner Opal originally had a food truck and he had so much success that he opened this "hole in a wall" restaurant. He usually asks what you want and just creates based on that! Everyone who visits the North Shore must go here.. If you like Thai food.

How do you get a Toddler to eat veggies?! Veggie Pizza... This is something my old cook from my sorority house use to make... Just pizza dough cooked with cream cheese spread on top and veggies! Super easy! (And at least there are some veggies!)

and.... Peep season is upon us! For those of you who don't know me, Peeps are my absolutely my favorite! Anyway these are new version... Giant bunnies. Delic

and our park adventures. We LOVE the park and go everyday. I mean we live in Hawaii after all!

and baby Dare Devil.  She has no fears... I suppose that is both a good and bad thing!

Anyway, random random post.

Happy Monday!
