Circus Party- Harp's Second Birthday Party!

Can you believe our little girl is almost the big T-W-O? Ha we can't! This year we decided to throw Harp's party two weeks early because Will has tons of training come up and we wanted to make sure he was here for the big bash! I loved the circus theme... it was so easy to decorate and perfect for her age. We hired two balloon animalists that seriously did a fantastic job creating whatever the kids wanted. I had a couple of little stations set up- Dress up like a clown and a coloring table to keep them occupied... but let's face it... Two year olds just want to run around! Overall it was super fun and the kids had a blast. Here are a couple of photos Uncle Greg took! Another friend of mine, Jocelyn, took photos so I'll add those after I get them.

(for favors Harps gave out Cotton Candy... simple!)

(one of the many fabulous balloon hats! i'll post more later!)

(and the Sweet Birthday Girl... she had the most adorable circus dress on!)

We love you two year old Harper Girl!!!!

Selfie

Harps is obsessed with my iPhone... I guess every almost two year old in her generation is! I usually do not let her play with it, but sometimes in desperate moments (like a bad car or the commissary), it is necessary. She loves taking selfies over and over and over again. Will and I think she likes seeing her different facial expressions. I love them (but then again, I am her mom!). She is such a two year old. We are busy getting ready for her big birthday party in two weeks!

Connecticut Summer Trip

The last two summers Harps and I (and Will this year) have jetted off to the mainland for 3-4 weeks of some good family time. We definitely love living in Hawaii but it is SO far from home. Our family fly into New York, which is at a minimum an 11 hour flight, without any connections. 11 hours with a toddler... it is a long tough flight (although I am starting to learning all of the tricks to keep a toddler occupied!) Anyway those 11 + grueling hours are totally worth it to see our families. We love living all around the country with the army but there is just something about your hometown. Harps is the first and only grandchild.. needless to say she got a lot of love, candy, and toys! Will and I also went to a beautiful wedding up at West Point for one of the weekends and had our first weekend away. She was in excellent hands with both of our parents and loved every minute of it!

Of course I brought my camera and only got about 50 pictures total. Oy. I really need to work on that, but for now here are some adorable pictures of Harps with her Papa and Pops!

We are spending the weekend going to the beach... and working on potty training! Fun fun.

Back!

Did my few fans notice my absence? So sorry! We were on the mainland for 3 weeks visiting family and then we came back into our full activities! I have so much blog catching up to do but for now enjoy some recent pictures of our day to day life. I promise to post much more about our trip and recent adventures soon.

But for now... Our little lady is growing up so quickly... her second birthday is just around the corner. Crazy, crazy. She is seriously the biggest chatterbox learning new words everyday and really bossing us around (we have officially reached the sassy two year old stage!).

So what have we been doing?

Going to the park...

Going to the pool...

Wearing Elmo slippers (all the time!)....

Going to a beautiful Hawaiian wedding...

Going back to the park again...

Learning how to make sugar cookies...

and feeding our babies!

Promise to post more later!
